The best tripod I have found to use is a speaker stand. A lot more rugged and provides a "solid" base for the crane to rest on. Mine was about $29.00 a few years back. Crane work in general is perfect for weddings adds a cinematic look to the reels…

Hopefully everyone knows about the allocation of the 700MHz band.  If not, June 12, 2010 is the shutoff date for anyone operating wireless microphones in the 700MHz band. Failure to not cease operations after could result in both civil and criminal penalties but even worse, result in your interfering with fire, safety, and police emergency radio services.
