Hello from a Canadian, based in Nice, but working also in Munich and south of
Sweden.

My portfolio extends over the past 16 years and include projects
in Canada, Germany, Sweden, UK and France that comprise
film and TV post-production, multimedia design and authoring
(media-enriched-web-design, CD ROM, cDVD, DVD), netcasting
(live and stored streaming, progressive download) as well as print design.

Here is my site with some examples of my latest works in media design:

www.cineffect.com/en

A website for Monaco wedding planner I have just finished:

www.montecarloweddings.com

The breakdown of the website and provided services apart from a
unique design:

First of all when you load the page you see it loads quite fast. This is
due to the fact that the main flash movie is only 280 Kb and everything
else is loaded externally, as needed, with scripting. The full size of
the website (with all photos, slideshows, movies, animations, etc.) is
almost 70 MB.

Resize your browser window and you will see that the whole
website will get smaller in size too, up to zero because it was not just
embedded in the HTML page, but scripted to take the viewer's resolution
into account. It will always fill the screen and be centered.

The website is split into three column for easy navigation.
Left column contains navigation buttons (Home, Why choose us, ...) which
controls the content of the middle column (description text).
The right side column contains any visuals (slideshows, videos, music,
interactive map, animations, etc.)

The palm tree on the left side was vectorized and individual branches
are moving (this can be done with client's logo too, I can even make the
logo in 3D and animate it)

Uppper slideshow is a FLV (flash video) and loaded externally, not
embedded in the site.
Slideshows on the right side are loaded externally too and with each
navigation button (on the left side), slideshow will change.
Video controls are custom made and can reflect company colours or design.

Through use of external CSS, text size and other parameters can be
controlled too as you can see by clicking on the magnifying glass.
I am also working on using this technique to let user set the size of
text in Flash document via regular browser controls.

External text is HTML and so can be formatted and contain images, flash,
links and so on. The text scroller can be custom made (in this case,
company logo, the bowtie). Furthermore; anything on the website can be
controlled from the links loaded text, through a scripting function.
If you click on "Venues", you can choose to watch different slideshows
on the right. This way one avoids changing URL and reloading the whole
page.

If you click on "Club Members Area" you will see that protected or
internal content within the website is possible too, even multiple users
can log in.
Once you log in, you can see a countdown, that can be set towards a
certain important date (Christmas, Investors meeting, Seminar).

If you click on the "Contact" button on the right side above the media
window you will see a contact form opening. It is done by connecting
Flash with PHP and works perfectly without having to program anything on
the server. Clicking on "send" also shows you missing information and
will not allow the form to be sent without specified fields.
Besides regular contact information it is possible to include a Skype
call button (also loaded as external HTML text) and Google Earth link
(of course Google Earth must be installed on viewer's computer). Very
useful feature is also google map link that can be embedded anywhere on
the side and its design modified.

These are just some of the services that can be used to construct a
professional Flash site. As you may know, Google can index a complete
Flash site now too and one can use even Google Analytics by putting a
code into Flash.

Regards and have a sunny day,

Ivan

So if someone is a non-christian, talented web designer you wont hire them for the job?

Yeah, I don't think you can hire based on religion. I think that falls under discrimination, a non-christian trait.

I think everyone deserves to be hired no matter what their religion or race is. If a person is talented enough and proves himself, he deserves to be hired without taking his religion to consideration. After all, it's the completion of the job that matters.

I agree that it's idiotic to not hire someone based on their religion, but I don't think it should run afoul of the law (if you're not saying that, then of course disregard this comment). People have the right to associate with whomever they choose, and to choose that for completely stupid reasons.
