We have loyalty as 95% of our clients are return clients due to the loyalty built on our honesty and integrity of plan and attack, cost effectivness and honest answers of what can and can't be done within a time and funding budget handed us. Introductions - Meet & Greet.

We will go through the info packet you have been handed.
Question & Answer Period

Brief DVD from Skip Barber Racing School.
Videos: Behind the scenes, wrecks, on-the-set accidents, edited driving jobs..

Classroom: SAG stunt & safety rules & bulletins, tire pressure, road adhesions, steering techniques, set etiquette, client etiquette, seat belts and harnesses,"hitting the mark." Issue radios, discuss radio terms and calls. Discuss wet-downs, tire pressure's, speed & radius, over & understeer, throttle steer & drifting.

Check and Final Prep of the cars for the day's driving.

10:15 am
Walk the training courses #1 #2 #3.

10:30 am
Drive Course 1 semi-radical side-to-side through cones.
Proceed to Course 2 of high speed forward to a mark without dipping the hood.
Proceed to Course 3 of high speed reverse driving to a mark
using rear and side view mirrors.

Begin skid pad work.

Begin 4-wheel drifts.

Freestyle Time on the skid pad.
Keep play within limits set by instructors or be asked to leave.

Park cars in straight uniform line. Wash & clean cars for tomorrow's class.

Sign in on the Speedway release form. Wait at track's Pit Row entrance. Once gate is open, park your cars side by side in a straight line on Pit Row.

9:00 am
GATE TO THE TRACK WILL BE CLOSED until LUNCH!
We will gather on Pit Row on foot & walk the track. We will discuss finding the groove, banking, push & loose (under steer & over steer), cutting, holding, pushing the line, road surfaces. Road hazards.

9:30 am
Cross the track to press box for classroom instruction & videos.

10:30 am
Learn the Insert Car. Insert Car safety.
Radio terms used by 1st A.D.
Use of toy cars to understand moves to be made during the shot. Perform moves with Insert Car.

11:00 am
Other participants will follow behind in rows of 2, mirror to mirror, until called to make moves with the Insert Car.

12:30 pm
LUNCH 1 Hour

Park on Pit Row.
We will use toy cars and learn to make traffic.
We will learn how to run through traffic while staying with the Insert Car. Then walk the moves on foot.
Learn large group turnarounds on foot. Perform large group turn around's in our vehicles.

Perform making traffic in groups of 2, taking turns as either the lead car or the chase car. Each group trade places after 2 laps.

4:00 pm
Discuss 2-column, mirror to mirror & ballet driving using toy cars. Walk moves on foot. Perform moves.

5:30 pm
Turn in radios.
Take Final 5 Page Exams.

6:30 pm
Discuss grades and answers.
Hand out certificates.
Photo Op's.

Leave at 6:30 pm on the dot.

Please Read Below!

Understanding you want to enter into the motion picture business you must realize driving is only one of the many talents you going to need to gain employment. Having these talents isn't the only thing that will get you the work.

We can train you to be the best Motion Picture Stunt and/or High Performance driver you can be with seat time, training, direction and focus. However you will only work when there are driving sequences in a film or television project. Also realize we train we don't offer nor guarantee employment. What you do with your training is up to you 1000 percent.

The more you know and the more talents you accumulate, the more you will work. Let's put it this way. A good cowboy won't make a good rancher. Follow me on this point.
A good rancher is an architect, plumber, veterinarian, cowboy, carpenter, farmer, cook. I think you get where I'm going with this.

After you have the training it then who you know and who knows you. This takes what most stunt people know as the five year plan. Who will know you depends on your talent and safety record you build as you go. It also depends on your set etiquette. This is something even some of the biggest names are still learning.

You have to know film and camera. Also how to take direction, and how to take criticisms then constructively. This is hard as there are many different ways to do some stunts. None are wrong just some work better for one and not another. Or you could be working with someone who only knows one way and he or she thinks it's the best.

This can be one of the best, exciting, challenging and awarding businesses in the world. Just know that it is also saturated with hundreds if not thousands of people trying to make a living.

You have to become a salesman of your self. You can't take this training and sit by the phone and expect magically that everyone will know who you are and That you can slide a car or do a reverse 180 to a mark every time.

For every 125 percent you put into the business you will get 10 to 15 percent back after the first five years unless your one of the lucky ones. Your only as good as your last job.

Also know you are getting into a dog eat dog, political business filled with sharks. You'll be the ham bone in a room full of pit bulls. Because there are 5000ish USA Stunt performers and at any given time jobs for 2000 at best..

Now if you understand this and feel you will not take no for an answer then you are also one of the few who has the inner strength and determination to use all that you will train to learn and could possibly even cut down the five year plan to three and a half.

We don't want to sound arrogant or egotistical. We want you to know what your in for in your journey to become a working stunt performer. We don't want you spending your money only to lead to heartache or worse self destruction of your confidence and/or character. This business has broken many a strong person.

Stunt Coordinators don't just look for the talent. We also look for the consistent, confident (not cocky) and focused stunt performers.

We hope this helps you make the correct decision for you. If you think we have not caused you to change your mind; please feel free to sign up for our next session and we truly will teach you everything we know to help you long and prosperous Stunt and/or driving career.

ABC moved production of Ugly Betty from California to NY because of the financial incentives? Well, not only is California in a fiscal funk but so is NY. Crains reports today that New York State's tax credit for filming in the Big Apple has become "a victim of its own success; the state is out of money and a lack of pilots is threatening jobs". Sure that state tax credit brought television production in New York City to a record high last year.

But that was then and this is now. "Already television production studios are holding back on plans to shoot pilots in New York this spring," the report says. "If funding for the tax credit program is not renewed, feature film and television series production could also dry up once current projects are completed."

NBC Universal Chief Executive Jeff Zucker warned a Crains forum this week that "television companies that made 19 pilots for programs last year in New York City thus far have committed to making zero."

We are writing to you today, on behalf of the thousands of men and women employed in the film and television industry in New York State. A recent article in the New York Post, titled "Cut! And Run Looms: NY Out of Film Lures", reported that the successful state program that provides tax credits to lure television and film productions to New York has run out of money.

The report goes on to say that "A Paterson spokesman said yesterday that there is no additional funding for the tax credits included in his latest budget proposal."This is alarming. With an unemployment rate of over 7%, now is not the time to cut programs that create jobs and foster new businesses in our state. This program is proven to be highly successful and at a time when this industry needs all the help it can get, you must rethink the true impact
of not funding this valuable program.

According to a 2007 study by Ernst and Young, the state and city combined have issued $690 million in tax credits and have collected $2.7 billion in taxes from movie and television productions. This program pays for itself! It helped create over 7,000 jobs, directly, in 2007 and over 12,000 jobs indirectly.

As you are aware, New York City has seen a surge in new television, motion picture and commercial filming in recent years. The Mayor's Office of Film, Theater and Broadcasting reports that in 2002, there were 14,858 NYC location shooting days and in 2008, we reached over 27,250 days. There is a direct correlation between the growth of this industry and the tax credits provided from the state - we need to keep the momentum going, especially during tough economic times.

New York City and New York State have become "Hollywood of the East". We are finally a player in the international film industry. Please, Governor Paterson, fund the New York State Tax Credit program for television and motion pictures. Real jobs depend on it!
